Trading Participants are members of the IDSX market. By connecting to the trading system, they provide execution, clearing and settlement services that contribute to market liquidity and depth.

What is a Trading Participant?

A Trading Participant is an organization recognized by IDSX that connects to its trading system and takes part in market activity. Participants may trade as principal or execute orders for clients, subject to applicable requirements.

Eligibility criteria

An organization seeking IDSX Trading Participant status should meet these baseline requirements:

  • Be a duly constituted entity with a sound business reputation
  • Have experience in securities trading, brokerage or related financial services
  • Maintain effective compliance, risk management and internal controls
  • Have technology systems and operational capacity suited to its business
  • Meet Fit and Proper requirements for senior and relevant personnel
  • Maintain professional indemnity insurance as required by IDSX
  • Agree to comply with IDSX rules and ongoing supervision
